Dear Cam: Well, I AM a dog, so… no hands = can’t hold a tennis racquet. I’m also not naturally good at catching tennis balls in my mouth (I’m no retriever), so what I try to do is really really focus on the ball, and sometimes I manage to catch it. Yea, so do that when you swing your racquet (especially with the #backhand)! #Focus

You don’t always have the power to change your life, but you *can* change how you relate to the things that happen to you. I used to live in a house with a big yard and I loved lying in the sun all day. Now I live in an apartment which kind of sucked at first. So I figured out where the sun hits in the apartment at different times of day, and I move around to catch the sun and really enjoy myself!

Feeling bad about yourself isn’t fun, but it’s part of life sometimes. Mishu’s message is to stop feeling bad about feeling bad — it only makes it worse.

Negative emotions are a normal part of life

Everyone feels bad about themselves at some point. It’s normal. But we make it worse when we worry about our worries, or feel bad about our bad feelings.

Anxiety often takes the form of worrying not just about tangible things, but about the fact that we’re worrying. Or, if you tend to be critical of yourself, getting angry at yourself when you find yourself doing that. read more
