Now is Now
Now is Now is a reminder and a call to action. It means that this moment is only this moment. It is not tomorrow, next week, next year or yesterday. Thus if you value life, you will try to focus on the now and be in this moment, rather than missing out on its beauty by thinking about other times and the worries you have about them. This is not always easy, but if you remind yourself periodically that Now is Now, it might help you stop. Stop as in stop the thoughts racing through your mind that are unhelpful or that distract you from enjoying the moment. If you observe a dog, they are always in the now. If they’re afraid of something it is of something that is happening now, not something they imagine might happen in the future. And if they are bored, they are bored now, not because they’re worried about being bored in the future. Personally, I set a reminder on my phone for several times a day – Now is Now – to remind myself to focus on this very moment.
