Anxiety is part of the modern condition. Together with depression, stress and anxiety are among the most searched for health terms. Something about our over connected, over competitive, over comparing yourself to others lifestyle leads to anxiety and stress. What helps? Spending time outside, spending time petting and cuddling with a pet, and trying to keep the focus on the now. As Dear Mishu says: Now is Now. It’s not tomorrow and it’s not yesterday. Keeping your focus on now as much as possible will not stop us from worrying, but it prevents our worries from taking the joy out of our daily existence. Good ways to work on this are meditation (which makes you aware of your feelings), journaling, and reminders to stop and focus on the now. Anxiety is a tricky thing, but with the right focus we can find happiness and enjoyment  from the little things in life.
