To all the dogs, dog lovers, and people who wish they were dogs — have a great day full of sniffing, running, rolling, eating, sleeping, cuddling, and chasing!
So, I’ve been eating NomNomNow fresh dog food for a couple weeks now. If you remember, I got a huge shipment of veterinarian formulated fresh dog food from NomNomNow as part of their east coast trial (they currently ship mostly on the west coast).
So how is it going?
Well, usually NomNomNow ships the food a week at a time — 14 packets of fresh dog food formulated for your weight, age, and activity level for 7 days of meals. But because I am sooo far away and part of an east coast trial, I got a full 30 days worth at once. Which means that my humans had to put most of it in the freezer (because it’s fresh ?, gently cooked, human-grade food — you can’t just leave something that is real fresh food lying around, right?).
Dear Linda: So nice of you to ask! Almost every night I meet my puppy friends Onyx and Remy outside to play and even though they’re small they’re always happy to chase me. So – I’d say my neighbors are treating me great! How about yours?
My name means “someone” in Hebrew, because apparently my people think I’m really “someone” special!
Dear Lottie: If you’re asking what I would do, you know the answer. To feel good about yourself and #destress – try exercising in a nature — forest, park, beach or taking a walk or bike ride. But if you like to spend $ — why not! Whatever makes you happy, sweetie!
Dear Jo:Stop thinking about your thoughts…. being mad at yourself or worrying about feeling bad just makes it worse…. Just let yourself feel bad or think negative thoughts for a little while, & then try to move on. Let me know how it goes. #NowIsNow
The Inside Story
Feeling bad about yourself isn’t fun, but it’s part of life sometimes. Mishu’s message is to stop feeling bad about feeling bad — it only makes it worse.
Negative emotions are a normal part of life
Everyone feels bad about themselves at some point. It’s normal. But we make it worse when we worry about our worries, or feel bad about our bad feelings.
Anxiety often takes the form of worrying not just about tangible things, but about the fact that we’re worrying. Or, if you tend to be critical of yourself, getting angry at yourself when you find yourself doing that.

I’m Mishu, and I was told that I’m the worlds #7 Advice Columnist, but all I care about is living in the moment and having enough energy to chase squirrels. Here is my story:
N.G., My dad, met Nicholas of NomNomNow (cute name, right?) a few months ago at the beach..well, not really the beach, but near Myrtle Beach SC, during the wonderful BlogPaws Convention. They hit it off and as a result, it seems like I’m getting veterinarian formulated fresh dog food every day. I may just be the luckiest rescue dog Advice Columnist life coach on earth! (Dog Food Delivery — OMG, you’d think I was a princess! )
Dear Pat: Sometimes people (or animals) are grumpy because they’re in distress, pain, or feeling stressed. The other day my human took me to meet a man. He was nice, but I really, really had to poop… so I kept barking at the man. After I did my business, I was a lot friendlier. Try to understand why these people are grumpy. Maybe you can help them and they’ll be nicer, or at least you won’t be as offended…. <3 Mishu
Lots of bad things have happened lately to my family and friends. Please tell me some happy things, Miranda asks, Mishu answers.
Dear Miranda: ??????? The world is beautiful. Bad things are also part of this beautiful life. The only way to go forward is to accept the bad-beautiful things and try to notice the good-beautiful things. Try a nature walk or a trip to the beach – it always helps! What do my friends think?
Dear Kelsey: Try to make friends. People have a hard time being disrespectful of their friends. ~ Mishu
The Inside Story
Imagine if your noisy neighbors were your friends? They would probably be a lot more considerate of you and your desire for less noise.
Instead of turning it into a conflict (which some people really get off on) – flip it! If you show kindness and friendliness to people who are doing you wrong, there is a very good chance that they will just see your humanity and respond with compassion and friendliness.
