I know a veteran who committed suicide. How could I have helped prevent this, M asks, Mishu answers

Dearest M – I’m so sorry to hear this. Wondering what you could have done to prevent a suicide is normal, but sometimes there’s nothing you could have done. I think humans need to de-stigmatize talking about mental health and depression, so more people feel comfortable asking for help. And I think every veteran living with PTSD or mental health issues should be able to have a the support of a service dog like the ones provided by @operation_sidekick
